Product Description
A save-a-dive kit small enough to live on your keyring
A miniature anodised alloy cylinder, shaped like the real thing, that unscrews to hold twelve spare o-rings - and the cap has a brass o-ring pick built into it. Clip it to your keys, your BCD or the outside of your regulator bag, and the two things that most often end a dive day are already with you.
What you get
- Mini alloy cylinder keyring in anodised blue, with a split ring
- 12 spare o-rings stored inside the body
- Brass o-ring pick fixed into the screw cap - it is the cap, so it cannot be dropped separately
About the o-rings
The twelve o-rings are supplied as a mixed assortment of small sizes and are not marked with AS568 numbers. They are there so a common seal can be swapped on a boat, not as a calibrated set. If you need a specific size you can rely on, measure what you are replacing and order it by number - we stock the individual sizes:
- AS568-011 standard LP port hose
- AS568-014 yoke / K-valve
- AS568-112 standard DIN valve
- Inflator hose o-ring 7.5 × 1.5 mm
About the pick
The pick is brass - softer than steel, so it is far kinder to a sealing groove than a screwdriver or a dental pick, which is why brass has long been the traditional material for the job. It is still metal, though: work the point under the o-ring itself rather than dragging it along the groove, and keep it away from anodised or chrome sealing faces you care about. Where you want something that cannot mark anything at all, use a hook and scribe set or a plastic pick.
Also a decent small gift
It looks like a scuba cylinder and it is useful, which makes it an easy present for a diver - stocking filler, instructor thank-you, club prize. Supplied in blue.
