Keep your Shearwater Swift transmitter running reliably with a dedicated battery replacement kit.
This kit includes a CR2 3V lithium battery, three sealing O-rings and silicone grease for a secure, water-resistant fit.
CR2 lithium batteries are widely used in dive accessories because they offer stable voltage,
long service life, and dependable performance across temperature changes.
Why Procell and not Duracell? Procell is the professional line from Duracell – the same manufacturer, made for professional and industrial supply rather than for retail shelves. Most divers have never come across the name, so it is worth saying plainly: this is a Duracell battery in professional packaging.

Shearwater Swift Transmitter Battery — FAQ
What battery does the Shearwater Swift transmitter use?
A CR2 3V lithium cell, user replaceable. Shearwater rates the Swift for up to 300 dive hours, with a 5 year storage life. This kit supplies a Procell Intense CR2, the industrial grade equivalent of the cell Shearwater fits at the factory.
Is Procell the same as Duracell?
Yes. Procell is the professional line from Duracell — the same manufacturer, made for professional and industrial supply rather than for retail shelves. Shearwater themselves ship the Swift with an industrial grade CR2, so a Procell Intense cell is the like-for-like replacement.
How often should the battery and O-rings be replaced?
Change the battery when the transmitter stops pairing reliably, or as it approaches its rated 300 dive hours. Replace the O-rings at every battery change — the Swift uses a double O-ring design, and those seals are all that stand between the electronics and the water. Sizes for other gear are listed in our scuba O-ring size chart.
Do I need silicone grease on the O-rings?
Yes. A thin film helps each O-ring seat evenly and stops it pinching or rolling when the battery cap is closed. This kit includes grease; a separate 30 ml tub of silicone grease is available if you service more than one piece of kit.
